SpaceSUITE Metadata vocabulary reference page

This page describes the controlled vocabulary and data entry guidance for key metadata fields defined in the SpaceSUITE schema. It ensures consistency and clarity in how training resources and training actions are described.

Learning Outcomes

Definition: The specific skills, knowledge or competencies participants are expected to gain by the end of the resource (expressed using the Bloom’s taxonomy).
User input instruction: Use clear, measurable statements starting with action verbs from Bloom’s taxonomy (e.g., “analyze,” “apply,” “evaluate,” “create”)


Delivery Mode

Description: Describes the mode of delivery of the resource.
User input instruction:

  • Face To Face: In-person instruction in a physical setting
  • Online synchronous: Instruction and interaction occur online and in real-time.
  • Online asynchronous: Learning takes place online and not in real-time. Learners access content at different times, but may still have deadlines, pacing, or interactions.
  • Self-Paced: Learners move through the materials entirely at their own speed, without external pacing or deadlines, often open-ended and available indefinitely.
  • Blended: A mix of online and in-person sessions
  • WorkBased: Delivered at the workplace, often through mentoring or on-the-job training

Offered By

Description: Entity responsible for making the resource available.
User input instruction: Enter the name of the organization or company making the resource available or organizing the training activity.


URL

Description: The web address (URL) where the resource can be accessed.
User input instruction: Provide a URL to the content or its landing page. This should be a valid, clickable link pointing to the page where the online resource is hosted or where information about the training action can be found.


License

Description: Information about the license under which the resource is made available, specifying usage rights and conditions.


EQF level

Description: European Qualifications Framework code.


Workload

Description: Amount of time students are expected to invest in order to meet the defined learning outcomes, quantified using ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits.
User input instruction: ECTS Workload represents the total amount of work required to complete a learning activity, measured in European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits.
One ECTS credit typically corresponds to 25 to 30 hours of student workload, including lectures, self-study, assignments, and exams.
Enter the number of ECTS credits as a decimal number (e.g., 6.0).


Prerequisites

Description: Knowledge, skills, or conditions required for learners to effectively engage with and benefit from the resource.
User input instruction: Prerequisites describe the knowledge, skills, qualifications, or experiences that a learner is expected to have before starting this learning activity. You can include formal requirements (e.g., “Bachelor’s degree in Physics”), informal expectations (e.g., “Basic programming skills”), or refer to other courses (e.g., “Completion of ‘Introduction to Data Science’”). Use plain language. You may list multiple prerequisites


Type of assessment

Description: The methods or tools used to evaluate and verify the learner’s achievement of the Learning Outcomes.


Certification

Description: Information on whether participants will receive a certification, accreditation, or Micro-credential upon completion.


Microcredential awarding body

Description: The institution, organization, or entity responsible for issuing or validating the micro-credential.


BoK annotation

Description: Knowledge, in terms of SpaceSUITE BoK concepts, addressed in thes resource.
User input instruction: Select one or more concepts from the Body of Knowledge (BoK) to describe the topics or competencies addressed by this resource. Prefer specific, well-defined concepts. You may choose multiple terms if the content spans several areas.
