SpaceSUITE takes part in the ESA Future Skills Executive Roundtable on the Future of Space Talent  On 8 April, SpaceSUITE was represented at the ESA Future Skills Executive Roundtable, hosted at the European Space Agency Headquarters in Paris.

Organised as a closed-door executive discussion, the event brought together a select group of stakeholders from across the European space ecosystem, including industry leaders, academic institutions, international organisations, and institutional representatives.

During the roundtable, participants exchanged perspectives on the future skills and competencies that will shape the next generation of the space workforce. SpaceSUITE contributed to discussions focused on emerging workforce trends, talent development, and the evolving needs of the sector in an increasingly dynamic and innovation-driven environment.

A central element of the session was the presentation of the White Paper on the ESA Skills Digital Twin Initiative, which explored long-term workforce evolution scenarios and future talent challenges. The discussions provided an opportunity for SpaceSUITE and other participants to reflect on topics such as talent circulation, skills retention, and collaborative approaches to strengthening Europe’s competitiveness in the space domain.

The final session focused on identifying concrete avenues for cooperation across workforce intelligence, skills development, and innovation support. SpaceSUITE welcomed the opportunity to engage in these high-level exchanges alongside organisations such as the OECD, UNESCO, leading universities, and major actors from the European space industry. Held under Chatham House rules, the roundtable encouraged open and constructive dialogue on the future of human capital in the space sector.
