SpaceSUITE contributes to discussions on talent development at the 2nd Aerospace Innovation Day of the Valencian Community.
On 11 June 2026, the Espai Aero network of the Valencian Community organised the 2nd Aerospace Innovation Day of the Valencian Community (INOESPAI) in Alicante, Spain. The event brought together policymakers, companies, startups, universities and public administrations to highlight the region’s growing aerospace ecosystem and foster collaboration across the sector.
As a partner of the Erasmus+ SpaceSuite project, GEOTEC (Universitat Jaume I) actively contributed to the event by participating in a roundtable discussion dedicated to one of the key challenges facing the European space sector: attracting, developing and retaining talent.
Joaquín Huerta, representing GEOTEC, drew from ongoing work carried out within SpaceSuite, including the analysis of the European job market and educational landscape, the identification of critical skills gaps, insights gathered from stakeholder interviews and the development of innovative training materials designed to better align education with industry needs.
Beyond the roundtable, SpaceSuite was also promoted at the Universitat Jaume I exhibition stand, where visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the project’s objectives, methodology and expected impact. Discussions with participants further reinforced the importance of strengthening cooperation between academia, industry and public authorities to build a more competitive and resilient European space workforce.
GEOTEC’s participation at INOESPAI illustrates how SpaceSuite continues to engage with regional and international stakeholders, disseminating project results while contributing to broader discussions on the future of space education and skills development across Europe.
